The Dark Knight Rises

After watching the entire trilogy of Batman, I have to say, I am blown away. I will not give any spoilers for DKR but if you have seen and enjoyed Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, you will certainly enjoy the finale. As per Rotten Tomatoes, This movie has an 86% and is certified fresh with an average rating of 8/10. I would say I agree with this rating as the beginning seems a bit scattered with a bit of a misunderstanding with what is truly happening. The action in the film is put off until about 40-50 minutes in but the audience is kept drawn in with Anne Hathaway's character, Selina Kyle, and this is where I might add I was quite impressed with her performance. Going into the movie, I did not expect too much out of Hathaway but she definitely proved herself with her charming and witty self.

Moving on to the nitty gritty, I'd like to point out that some of the characters should've had a bigger role than they did. the villains were excellent, although, put lightly, they could have been a little better developed. Bane was an excellent character, possibly my favorite, but generally, all of the villains' backstories needed to be a little more concrete as it felt like the plot was jumping all over the place at some times. When the villains were finally understood, thanks to pure dialogue, the movie was carried out with thrilling action and witty. All in all, I enjoyed this movie - just as much as the other two. Slow beginning, great middle, insane ending which all equals an overall epic film.
